Max brings hands-on experience in tax preparation, bookkeeping, and client accounting to Filotto Professional Services. Before joining the firm, he worked as a Staff Accountant in Warrenville, where he prepared more than 200 individual and business tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1065, and 1120-S. He also managed monthly accounting for a portfolio of small-business clients across industries ranging from plumbing and HVAC to therapy practices, handling bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and sales tax filings.
Max is known for his attention to detail and his ability to explain financial results in plain terms, helping clients understand what their numbers mean for their business.
Max earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Illinois State University, where he was a member of the Student Accounting Society, and has earned his Master of Science in Accounting at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
